As Christians, we are to present the gospel to unbelievers and introduce them to the wonderful relationship that is in Christ.

Soul Winning Marathon seeks to do this through:

I. Race participation

Soul Winning Marathon encourages runners and walkers of all abilities to represent SWM at various races throughout the year. With a strong presence on the course, it is our hope that SWM walkers and runners will generate interest among fellow racers and subsequent opportunities for discipleship.​

Please note — SWM team members are responsible for securing their own race registrations.

Run or walk as part of Soul Winning Marathon and receive:

• Group training opportunities (Omaha and Lincoln area)

• Motivation throughout the season

• Discipleship training (for those interested)​

 

SWM T-shirts will be available for purchase for training and race day.

While SWM does not provide coaching, several coaching tools are readily available online, including resources from Hal Higdon (https://www.halhigdon.com/ ) and Jeff Galloway (http://www.jeffgalloway.com/). You can also find certified coaches at https://www.rrca.org/find-a-coach.

II. Praying for Our Nation 

“You are the light of the world, like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)

To encourage restoration and unity of spirit in a divided nation, Soul Winning Marathon seeks to gather the body of Christ to pray for each state at their state capital for the healing of the soul of the nation. 

The body of Christ must show their solidarity and the love of Jesus in times like this. Help us combat an attitude of apathy or complacency. Please join us in praying for the soul of the nation.

III. Evangelism Training

Soul Winning Marathon encourages active discipleship through participation in select running races but the world “marathon” also refers to the figurative long-haul race to bring people to Jesus Christ.

We believe God has given each one of us special talents and opportunities to present the gospel, touch lives, and witness. We offer different tracts designed to prepare you to carry out the Great Commission and bring new disciples to Christ.

IV. Partnership

We are continually seeking opportunities to partner with church leaders, allowing us to join together in encouraging other Christians, who are convicted to obey God’s call, to share His wonderful news.
